The Crowned Confidence initiative creates a safe space for self discovery and gives an opportunity for young women to have an honest and intimate dialogue. Our workshops are conceived to break down barriers and raise standards of one’s life’s expectations as we invite experts in each discipline to provide sustainability tools to nurture their dreams and aspirations.
Reading with the stars
In partnership with The Optimist Club of St. Matthew's, Kingston, we hosted a back to school initiative in Allman Town, Kingston titled "Reading with the Stars" spearheaded by Debbie Willis-Hunter. On August 20, 2016 we engaged the inner city children with local and international celebrities such as comedian Quite Perry, actor String Bean and our very own CEO, Roushelle Green. The MLIP Team donated pencils, pens, erasers and notebooks to over 30 children from the community.
Crowned Confidence Scholarship
2016 The Crowned Confidence Scholarship recipient
Our first recipient of Crowned Confidence Scholarship is Asonika Carpenter. Asonika was presented with a backpack filled with stationary items needed for the upcoming school year as she prepares for the Grade Six Achievement Test at Allman Town Primary School. She is an active member in the community while maintaining a vibrant school life where she partakes in school activities such as the weekly radio show and drama club. Asonika represents a young woman of Crowned Confidence who prioritizes her development in all areas of life. We congratulate her on such an achievement and we welcome her to the Legacy.
